Our Process
1. Service Initiation & Payment : Upon receiving your watch we will provide an initial estimate (typically our rates above). To begin work, your initial estimate is due in full at the time of drop off for in-store customers. For mail in repairs, we will send you an invoice that is due before any work will be performed.
2. Precision Overhaul & Parts: Our master watchmakers perform a full disassembly and inspection. In many instances, due to wear, it is necessary to replace internal parts to return your timepiece to the original manufacturer specifications for accuracy and precision. VTC only uses original Rolex parts, which will come at an extra cost if required. If parts are required, you will receive a final invoice for the balance. The watch is returned upon receiving payment of that final invoice.
3. What's included in the Complete Overhaul: Every complete overhaul includes disassembly, inspection, movement cleaning, reassembly, mainspring replacement, precision lubrication, gasket replacement, case and bracelet refinishing and pressure testing to ensure water resistance. NOTE: We understand some customers may not want their timepiece refinished or polished for personal reasons, so this service is optional, and should be declined at the time of drop off or mail-in.
Mail-in Repairs-If you choose to decline the service for any reason after submission, the customer is responsible for all shipping costs.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will my repair cost more than the Base Rate? It's very possible, if not likely. Watches that haven't been serviced in 7+ years will likely require additional parts. It is out goal to offer great value for the service we provide, but we will also only perform work that meets our standards. If parts are necessary, we will not proceed without replacing them.
What are the typical parts costs? While costs vary by model and condition, many internal parts range from $60-100 each. Other parts cost in the range of $300-400.
What if I decline the repair? If you choose not to proceed for any reason after the watch has been submitted, the customer is responsible for all shipping costs.
Are you Rolex Authorized? No. We are not affiliated with Rolex in any way. This allows us to maintain our own strict quality standards but also offer flexible policies (like not requiring a replacement dial, bezel or hands to complete a movement repair).
How long does it take? While we do not guarantee completion dates, the average Rolex repair is completed in 2-3 weeks time. Severely worn or damaged timepieces will absolutely take longer to complete. Vintage timepieces also will require a minimum of 4 weeks to complete.
